Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
This policy explains what information Red Mesa Studios LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects when you use Cozy Servers, how we use it and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run your server, bill you and keep the Service safe. We do not sell your information, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: your email address, your Minecraft username and its account ID (UUID), and your control panel username.
- Billing details: Stripe processes your payment. We receive limited details from Stripe, such as your name, billing country and postal code, the card brand and last four digits, and your payment history. We never see or store your full card number.
- Server data: your worlds, settings, mods and other files, and the logs your Minecraft server writes. Like every Minecraft server, these logs record the usernames, account IDs and IP addresses of players who connect, and chat and commands typed on the server.
- Technical information: IP addresses, browser type and request details in our web server logs, and sign-in and activity records in the control panel, which we use for security.
- Messages: anything you send us, such as support emails.
2. How we use it
- To create and run your server and control panel account, including whitelisting your Minecraft account.
- To bill you, send receipts, and tell you about your account, your server and changes to our terms.
- To answer support requests.
- To protect the Service, our customers and others: preventing fraud, abuse and attacks, and enforcing our terms.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not send marketing emails unless you choose to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
3. Cookies
Our website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The control panel uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms. Stripe's checkout page sets its own cookies for payment security and fraud prevention under Stripe's privacy policy.
4. Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run Cozy Servers, and only what each needs:
- Stripe, for payments and billing.
- Resend, to send account and service emails.
- Akamai (Linode) and our other data center providers in the United States, which host our servers.
- Mojang / Microsoft: when you sign up, we look up the Minecraft username you enter in Mojang's public account service to confirm it exists and to whitelist it. Minecraft's own services also handle player logins to your server.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, to investigate abuse of the Service, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
5. Children
Accounts are for adults only. Cozy Servers is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Children may play on a server that an adult account holder runs. In that case, the Minecraft server software automatically records the player's username, account ID and IP address in the server's logs, as on any Minecraft server, and the account holder controls who may join. We do not use that information for anything other than running the server. If you believe we hold information about a child under 13 that we should not, contact us and we will delete it.
6. How long we keep it
- Account details: while your account is open, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return or there is a dispute.
- Your server, its files and its backups: deleted 30 days after your subscription ends.
- Web and security logs: generally kept no longer than 90 days.
- Billing records: kept as long as tax and accounting laws require, usually up to seven years.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections, encrypted disks, restricted access to our servers, and isolated containers for each customer's server. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
You can update your email and panel details in the control panel. You can also ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, give you a copy, or delete it. Email support@cozyservers.com and we will respond within 30 days, except for information we are required by law to keep. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them. We will not treat you differently for using your privacy rights.
9. Where we process data
We are based in the United States, and we store and process information in the United States.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date above and notify you by email or on our website before the changes take effect.
